On the morning of April 12, 2025, the "Putian Spinal Scoliosis Prevention and Control Alliance Establishment Conference" was successfully held at the First Hospital of Putian City, marking a new stage of resource integration and specialized cooperation in the field of spinal health prevention and control in Putian City. The alliance is led by the First Hospital of Putian City and jointly initiated by multiple medical institutions in the city, committed to building a systematic, standardized, and urban-rural coverage system for the prevention and treatment of scoliosis.

The first batch of alliance units consists of 20 units, covering city level comprehensive hospitals, county-level hospitals, township health centers, and community health service centers, including Putian First Hospital, Putian College Affiliated Hospital, Xianyou County General Hospital, Putian 95th Hospital, Putian Hanjiang Hospital, Xiuyu District Hospital, Licheng District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, etc. The alliance aims to promote early screening, diagnosis, and treatment of scoliosis, especially among young people, through resource sharing, technological collaboration, and talent training, and improve the overall quality of regional rehabilitation medical services.

At the establishment ceremony, Kang Guohui, Vice President of Putian First Hospital, delivered a speech on behalf of the initiating units of the alliance, emphasizing that the alliance will strengthen the cooperation mechanism between medical institutions, promote the sinking of high-quality medical resources, and enhance grassroots diagnosis and treatment capabilities. The conference held a plaque awarding ceremony for the executive director and vice chairman units of the alliance, and invited Wu Dexian, deputy chief physician of the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of the First Hospital of the city, to share cases and exchange experiences in the prevention and treatment of scoliosis. 

On the same day, the alliance held the "2025 Putian Rehabilitation Medicine Professional Quality Control Conference and Quality Control Training Course", inviting experts from Longjikang Spinal Academy, Shen Tong and Feng Liying, to conduct standardized diagnosis and treatment of scoliosis and rehabilitation technology training, in order to enhance the practical operation and quality control level of member units.

The establishment of this alliance is an important practice for Putian City to respond to the "Healthy China" strategy and improve the collaborative mechanism of specialized medical prevention. The future alliance will rely on the Internet medical platform to build a spine health database, promote standardized screening processes, carry out public health education, effectively reduce the incidence of scoliosis and the conversion rate of severe cases, and help improve the health level of adolescents.
